I *love* On The Buses, havent seen that episode though :-(
Each to their own, northernmonkey. The whole show was childish in the 60's and nothing has changed. Two of the ugliest looking men in TV ogling all the young girls, ridiculous.!!
buses not busses, sorry
As a child they made my skin crawl and it's the same now...................yuk !
It wasn't funny first time around and it certainly hasn't stood the test of time at all well.
I think that was part of the appeal. The ridiculous notion of Stan and Jack as sex symbols. Stans impossible domestic situation leading to many a thwarted romantic liasion. The casual sexism, Blakey the by-the-book manager, often drawn into Hitleresque comparisions by his staff. It has all the ingredients of a truly classical 70s sit-com.

I'd love to think thats what suburban early 70s was like and would love to be transported back to those days to enjoy a pint of mild down the working mens club and see if I can pull some 'clippies'.
^ I can't argue with that, Booldawg.
And what do I know..............at that time I hooted myself silly watching 30 year-olds playing teenagers in 'Please Sir!'..............:o)
I loved it in it's heyday but it hasn't aged well at all.
jack was worse than stan with those big teeth and the letchy smile, a lot of those women they pulled were out of their league. I like seeing the old buses and that but the constant skirt chasing was churlish
i love it !!!!
comedys suck now apart from that one with the family of 3 kids and the mum and dad grrrrrrrrrrrrrr whats it called ??? the trailer shows the little girl talking to her dad about the prime minister??
^Outnumbered. My favourite TV comedy at the minute............
Class tv comedy. George & Mildred, Man about the House. Oh and dont forget Alf Garnet brill.
buses not busses, sorry

why are you apologising Justincider, are you northernmonkey ?
He/She must be,carrot99.!!
carrot he spelt buses wrong, i was saying sorry for correcting him
I've been watching it lately, and it still makes me laugh. Saw the one last week when Olive got a job as a clippie.
