I did hear that they wanted to take him off the Friday night edition and put Chris Evans in the slot, and offered Chiles a Friday night slot to replace Jonathan Ross when he leaves. Apparently he threw a wobbly, spat out his dummy and said he didn't want anyone else working with Ms Bleakley, and if he couldn't do Fridays, then he wouldn't do it at all. BBC called his bluff because they have Chris Hollins ready to step in if he does decide to walk.
I really don't know what he sees in Ms Bleakley. I mean, she's not unattractive and I guess she's competent at what she does, but nothing special. Or is that she's the only half-way decent woman gullible enough to fall for Chiles' dubious charm (and probably his money as well)?
