I've just had SKY HD installed. After the engineer left I noticed that he had imbedded into my concrete dorstep a small button shaped object (looks a bit like a teddy bear's glass eye). Has any one else got this and what is if for?

It's called the Cyclops Eye. If you invite too many neighbours round for TV evenings it can count the number of people entering your home and if you sell beer as well Sky will class your Home as a Pub and up the viewing charges.
When I had Sky installed I covered up the doorstep eye with a patch so it cannot see what is going on and I would advise you to do the same !!

nice one redman .Had to chuckle. I would like to know as well as mine is just under the ledge on my kitchen window.Would hate to think I had a peeping tom. Maybe better to ask this in Technology section
