Watche AH again last night....picked up something that I hadn't seen before....Robert DeNiro tells Micky that the egg is sometimes regarded as a soul in some religions and then say to Micky ...would you like an egg....was he giving him a chance to take back his soul? or am I reading too much into it????

I think Mr Ciphre was simply being a tease. Remember, Harry Angel (if only!) doesn't know that his 'employer' is The Devil, Lucifer is simply having a private joke with himself. He offers Harry the egg, knowing that he holds the debt of Harry's soul in a similar fashion. The problem is, the deal is already done, and Johnny Favourite has tried to slip out of his side of the bargain. Bad move! The story can only ever end in one way - Lucifer was sold Johnny's soul, and he's here to collect, with a little teasing and fear first, for his own amusement of course.
