Head Off

I remember as a kid sneakily watching a late night film/programme with headphones on in the dark, the bit I remmber most was a man & woman in bed, the man is snoring so the woman elbows him in the head which rolls off on to the floor to reveal a tape recording of snoring sounds. Any Ideas?

I remember seeing a film with a similar circumstance included, in this case it was Arthur Lowe losing his head, whilst in bed with Joan Hickson. The film I refer to has Vincent Price as the main lead as a failed Shakespearian actor. The title of the film being The Theatre Of Blood. See: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070791/

 

I particularly remember the scene where Robert Morley had to eat his two pet poodles in a pie!
