Need to replace my old TV.
Can anyone tell me what is the difference between Plasma TV & LED TV?
Not necessary the actual technical differences but in normal usage etc.
Should I be looking at a preference?
Thanks

Forget plasma!
Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think plasmas use more energy.
depends how big a tv, where you want it in room, what you will be watching on it etc.

this may help

i have a flat screen lcd and it does the job. 32" for £299.
Just bought a 42" LCD from Argos for £399. Fantastic picture. Highly recommended.
I have a LCD, but i have been told that the plasma has the sharper picture of the two, but also the plasma will not last as long as the lcd tv.
this may help also when you make your mind up

I agree, technically Plasma's have better definition and can display Blacks much better but supposedly have a shorter life span than an LCD. It really does depend on size and quality and most importantly your Budget! You can get some great bargains now for just a few hundred quid. If money is no object go for the undisputed king of tellys (at the mo!) which is the Pioneer range but hurry as they are stopping production of Tv's soon if they havent already!
Good luck!
