Did you see tonights In It To Win It, the lottery show with Dale Winton! The guy was on £100.000 cleaned up on his own until the last question! Which year was John Lennon and others born, choice of year 1935, 1940 1945! He went for 1945 and lost , how devastating for him as he was brilliant throughout the game! Thought that question would have been easy for him as Lennons birth and death are memorable dates!!

I wouldn't have known either
I thought it was 1945 not so memorable for me either.
The questions are only easy if you know the answer - quote from Chris Tarrant many times.

Ad why is 1940 more memorable than 1945. And I don't know what year he died - could guess but then ..... how old was he when he died??

And the other two people born the same year (Richard Pryor and A.N. Other) ?? memorable??

I must admit both my wife and I (children of the 60's) had a discussion whilst watching Olly and couldnt agree.
I thought 1945 too.
How much would the chap have won on 'Who wants to be a millionaire?' He got 20 consecutive questions right with no 'phone a friend' etc!!!!! Poor bloke!

Most people would remember? Why?
I couldn't remember the year he died but I do remember crying my eyes out!
There are no easy or hard questions, just questions you either know or don't!! Or something like that!

with respect chatty kathy - you would get a much harder than John Lennons birth year for the £1m
puternut it wasnt A N other it was Bruce Lee the greatest martial artist who ever lived famous in his own field
I don't think the the questions are that hard on WWTBAM. Agree with puternut and Chris Tarrant!
Such a shame to get so many correct and then walk away with nothing!
I knew the year he was shot and would have gone for 1945 as well, £100k down the pan just like that...still, as they say, he came with nothing! lol
With respect to the others that have answered, I would have worked out the year of his birth from being confident that he was over 20 when The Beatles had their first No 1 in Britain and that was not in 1965.
I wouldnt have know either
I'd have got it right though as I'd have gone with the middle one lol
He seemed to be logically working it out too,he couldn't have been 18 when the Beatles had their hit in 63,and then he went for 45! i di remember that he was shot in 1980 and that he was only 40 so I would have got that question right,
But how devasted was his wife?
So unlucky,It was tragic,it'll haunt them forever, such a large amount of money!
Not as devastated as his mother, he was going to get her a face lift with the money.
Who's John Lennon?
