just finished watching 24 and i wondered if anyone could answer a question for me, i thought the whole point of killing president hassan was to stop the peace process going ahead and then the russian bloke signed it anyway , any explanation grateful, i obviously missed something, thankyou

it was but his wife took his place and wanted the peace process to go ahead. The russians were thinking whoever stepped in his shoes would not want to sign it
