Emley Moor Transmitter

At the moment , we are experiencing awful reception on our digital TV , not even able to get a lot of programmes at all. I know they are upgrading transmissions from Emley Moor & it was going to take 2 months & I wondered if anyone else was suffering the same interference & it is something to do with the transmitter work or is it our TV ? We already have a digital arial fitted to the chimney.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If it's any consolation, manealca, we were never able to get Channel 5 because our local transmitted had not been upgraded. It still hasn't, and no-one can give me an answer as to when it's likely to be done. So we ended up going down the Cable TV road. You should contact an aerial engineer and see if he can come with a solution. Maybe the aerial needs fixing. Oh, should have said, we live in the West Midlands,but I doubt that you are alone withyour problem.
hi guys, Emley moor has just undergone a bit of a a refurb, hence the probs. unfortunatley the works are now going on until end of august so unless, (in laments) your aerial has clear line of sight to Emley Moor, your going to continue to have problems. Not all have probs, depends on aerial, av equp etc. hope this helps
