!950's BBC Radio programme In All Directions  starred Peter Ustinov as Dudley Grosvenor and Peter Jones as Maurice Grosvenor, two spivs. There was a one off TV programme.

Peter Jones played his character in other shows, too - sometimes he had a different name but was essentially the same spiv. (I thought Peter played Dudley, Greenfingers, but I'm sure you're right.)
