Can somebody tell me about the cartoon The Dreamstone? I vaguely remember the show, but don't really remember what went on. What exactly were the good creatures?

Rufus and Amberly were Noops, andtheir pet fish dog Arthur.  The dreamstone is stolen by baddies, namely Zordrack, with help from the Urpneys who are commanded by Sergent Blob and Rufus and Amberly journey to get the stone back.  I also remember a mad scientist with four pairs of glasses on his nose who used to spit and dribble a lot.  Apparently the scientist is called Urpgoor.
