I have not seen it yet but I have taped it so I will watch it after tea.  I think this series is better than the first but I also think Corrie is better than ever too.  Must be a northern thing

..yes I am loving this series , I  missed out on the first series so  had to rush out and buy it on dvd and had a "shamless series 1 weekend" complete with lots of beer and me neighbours kev n veronica (only joking they aint called that really)...superb! one of the best things on the telly at the moment...

One of the best things?, This is by far the best thing on tv at the moment. Any ideas if Steve is out of the programme for good or just taking a rest?

i don't know about steve - my guess is that he'll make a timely re-entrance.

the next series has been commissioned already (allegedly) but will not have Fiona in it.  My guess would be that she leaves at the end of this series (while pregnant?) to be with Steve.  He won't be back, he's been removed from the titles.

Hmmm. What do you reckon, Englishbird? My guess is - last scene of the last episode of the series:

Fiona has just finished a bit of how's-your-father with new bloke when the doorbell rings. She throws on a dressing gown and, still sporting a rosy, post-coitus glow, she opens the door. Suddenly, all the colour drains from her face, because there on the doorstep is...

NIce little cliffhanger for Series 3, don't you think?

Heh heh, no I'm not one of the scriptwriters, but I wouldn't mind having that much talent!

I'll be sorry to see Fiona go too. kick3m0n snuck in while I was composing my first answer - I didn't realise until then that she was not going to be in the next series, so I guess that kind of puts the kibosh on that.

I still think my ending's better though :O)
