Yes it is good - quite complicated though.

As far as I understand - His wife was adopted but she has a sister (Anna?) who is the natural daughter of the older woman (can't remember her name). The sister has the lawyer husband. Then there is Tanya his natural daughter (blond girl - works in his photography studio with him) who has a little blond boy. Lucy the oldest child is not his obviously. Then his ex wife also appears to be on the scene. Add into that mix the dead wifes "best friend" and I think that's the lot!

Oh yes!! David Tennant is one of my firm favourite actors,and he was the ideal role as Doctor Who!!! A shame that he decided to leave this favourite sci-fi show of mine. I loved his early companion Rose Tyler,played by Billie Piper,as well!
They certainly were a great team together!! =D

no idea anne - it's the fact that she was adopted that apparently drove her to have her child - so that she had a connection to somebody. That's the reason that Lucy wants to track down her father, none of the rest of them are biologically related to her as her mother was adopted. There may be further revelations about Rita's parents later on.

I think I have just about worked it out now. It was very puzzling. David Tennant is brilliant in the part, and Suranne Jones has become one of our best younger actresses. I am enjoying it.
