Have you seen the new Argos Bing Crosby advert?

How was this done? I know the beginning was real but when he started beat boxing was this done with computer effects or a lookalike? Either way its cleverly done and really should've been used in December for maximum effect imo.

Me too Sara. I remember when they used footage of Steve McQueen to advertise the Ford Puma. People said it was wrong that his image was used as he wasn`t able to give his permission and wouldn`t have wanted to be cheapened in such a way (I did buy the car though)! I feel the same way about Bing Crosby in this ad.

I would say a lookalike. If you freeze frame at 0.03 and again at 0.10 - notice the spots on his bow-tie.

I liked both the Steve McQueen and Gene Kelly ads, but really do not like the Bing one.

I think it demeans a great star and is a cheap shot at his expense.
