Have we had any clue that Owen saw John and thicklips dispose of the body? I know Owne was running the work at the factory but has there been any scene where he knew what was happening? Apart from Carla catching John in the factory?

MAYBE.... it's actually Colin Fishwick. They left him in the hole when it was unfilled. He could have "come round" and got out, then saw what happened and is making them both squirm.
