Sadly, I never had the chance to meet my mother-in-law either, as she passed away when my husband was just 15.
However, I have been told by many people that she was a very special kind lady, who would do anything for anyone & had my husband offered for me to wear her engagement ring, I would have.
As for knocking Diana, I don't blame her looking elsewhere for love, 'specially when she 'knew' her husband was being unfaithful with Camilla .
I'm surprised Diana stayed around for so long - although I suspect it was because she loved her two sons & knew she may have a fight on her hands to keep them with her.
Apart from W & K discussing the ring issue, I am sure that W would have asked his father if he was ok with it.
They showed PC on some tour with the Mayor Atlanta - going around his playtown, Poundbury. I thought he gave pretty short, almost dismissive, thrift on his response to his reaction to the engagement....Camilla, on the other hand, was evidently delighted...
perhaps charlie was being unfaithful because she did first, we'll never know, she always said she knew he had feeling for camilla so why did she marry him, obviously wasnt that bothered
it is well known that she liked them huge.....Will Carling went to my old school and apparently had quite a reputation for dimensions and James Hewitt was once described "as being hung like a detergent bottle".....
The engagement ring that we chose together, is a Victorian single diamond, 22 carat ring. I have no idea who wore it before my husband bought it, but we've been married since Sep 1964....
