Kate and William's Wedding Ceremony

The current favourite for this venue is Westminster Abbey but does anyone think it might be a good idea to hold it at Windsor Registery Office? This would follow in a new tradition set by his father and, in the current ecomic climate, save the taxpayer a lot of money.

Statisically the Royal Family isn't good at staying together just look at Margaret, Charles, Andrew and Anne and, whilst I hope they are the exception that prooves the rule, should we take that chance?

It should be St Paul's Cathedral - a much more aesthetically pleasing building - all romantic and Italianesque with that big dome and the steps.

Despite their protestations to the contrary, this wedding aint gonna be no cheapo...

No, I don't think it would be a good idea. I can't imagine St Paul's was ever a consideration Salla - Charles married Diana there.

No, I think it would be really naff to do it in Windsor Registery Office. His father got married there because he was divorced.

Why don't they just elope to Las Vegas and get married by an Elvis impersonator on the cheap? It'll save us taxpayers a lot of money. And we won't have to hear about it endlessly for the next umpteen months!

There can't be that many people who have big, lavish weddings and don't have to worry about the cost of it. I wonder where they would get married if they lived in the "Real World" and had to put their own cash into the wedding?

Not actually legal? It's perfectly legal according to the laws of the country in which it took place...

Presumably the OP believes that the wedding is going to be (partly) funded by public money...

I agree with you Mike 11111. It's difficult to see any money could be saved. It would make interesting reading to see the accounts and how everything is paid for, them we would know what the taxpayer contributes. I may be wrong but I can't remember ever seeing, or hearing, about this information. I wonder why that would be?

The upcoming wedding is forecast to bring in £1bn in tourism, cheap tat etc. (god know how they can guestimate that) Surely they can have the wedding where they like?
