Also was the actor that played young patches the guy who does most of the voices from the simpsons? He sounded just like Mo.

I don't know who the pirate guy was, but the actor who played young Patches was Hank Azaria, who does voices for the Simpsons - including Moe.

Steve the Pirate is played by Alan Tudyk - he has appeared in A Knights Tale, I Robot, 28 Days, to name a few.

Young patches was played by Hamk Azaria, so he certainly is the voice of Moe.
