Family fortunes question?
30 Answers
Hello peeps! Seen Family Fortune's earlier and before the duration of the second bout of adverts, there was a competition question on a survey of 100 people to win £5,000
Now, I may have a stab at this competition. After all, if you're not in it you cannot win it.
Anyway, the question was....
Name something that a cyclist wears?
The options were:-
A) Cycle clips
B) Helmet
and I know that C is out of the question, as that answer was
C) Lipstick
But, as for the other two, which do you think that most people would go for.
I mean you'd think that cyclists would wear clips and helmets.
I'm guessing that Cycle clips would be the more obvious answer!!
What do you think? Thanks for any comments. =)

When I was you and cycling(back the 1950's)men always wore cycle clips to keep their trousers from catching in the bike chain, but I very rarely (if ever) see anyone wearing them today.
As(then) we were not concerned(much) with safety we never wore helmets,in fact I don't think they had been invented yet for cyclists?

I know you wasn't Invictas, i was only suggesting that I think they are a requirement now. and if the majority of people surveyed in OPs Q who watch family fortunes are living by today's laws etc... they would have said helmets. (too soft these days, in my opinion btw)
supapapa, I also used to tuck mine into my socks as well... tsk (broken chain guard) i had no clips left to fix it back on.

I used to wear cycle clips in the '60s (and that's what I called them), not ankle clips, and rather oddly, not 'bike clips', though my bike was always 'my bike'.
Helmets are definitely not a legal requirement in the UK - they may be elsewhere, and I'm pretty sure they are required in Australia. If they were required, don't you think we'd have seen some publicity about it?

Hey peeps!! Just come back and just signed onto AB.
I won't be here for very long though,as I've got a lot of things that I need to do.
But, I just want to say many, many thanks to all of you who have replied to my thread.
Also, many thanks for the majority who went for option B) Helmet.
I would have opted for this answer too, but I just wanted a second opinion on it.
Cheers folks!! I owe you one.
