I'm setting sky to record - don't want to miss it
Isn't there a "Watch Paint Dry With Mummy" programme on instead?

That was Good. Robert Bathurst as John le Mesurier was fabulous. Excellent piece of drama, I'm so glad I watched.
Agreed boxy - did you see the re-run of This Is Your Life that followed? I remember seeing that first time round. Max Bygraves looked positively juvenile.
Missed it - will it be on again - I don't have catch up as I have sky and forgot to record it
Just watched it on Iplayer, fantastic!
You couldn't have a more perfect "matron" on those Carry on Films. What time is it on?
I read somewhere that Eric Sykes was up in arms about it being broadcast, because
the bbc were just muck-raking.
It was on Wednesday i think jr, you'll have to watch it on Iplayer/
Thanks kat1 maybe i should've read the date of this post before posting myself, was it any good?
Her eldest son thought it was spot on cupid.
I haven't watched it yet, but I did record it to watch at a later date.
I didn't see it but notice it is on again tonight on BBC4 at 12.20 so will record it.
I prefer to remember her as she appeared on the TV and in films. I don't need or want to know any intimate details about her.
Poor old John Le Meseurer in a recent program about Hancock Wasn't he giving Joannie the "treatment "
makes you glad not to be in the public eye, dosen't it. They build you up when you're
doing well, than the slightest mistake, that's it!
Was excellent drama and very true to life by all accounts.Major kudos to Ruth Jones for her very able portayal of Hattie -her son even commented it.
Dris it was excellent drama, not a dram-ducmentary though. The opening credits did state that This film is based on a true story, and Some events have been created or changed. Rather than give us factual information the film may have been taken as an opportunity to think about what was played before us and then draw our own conclusions. As is so often the case with peope in the public eye, much more comes to the surface after their death. I suppose one would only know some of the truth if one was there in person.
