Who is fabio? and why was gills reaction so bad?

Wasnt Fabio a male model of the nineties?

Fabio was a male model in the 80s and 90s. He started out as a model for romance novels (bodice-rippers) - he's the quintessential bare-chested musclebound hero with long flowing golden hair. (makes him look like a big girly poof if you ask me, but tons of women seem to adore him.)

I was a little confused myself when I saw this episonde of "Average Joe," but my theory is that Gill felt overwhelmed by the knowledge that whats-her-name's previous boyfriend had been Fabio. To put this in perspective, Fabio's next project is apparently going to be a tv series called "Mr. Romance." He's a world-famous sex symbol, which might be a little intimidating for the next man down the line.

I don't understand why Gill didn't just say "so why'd you use to date poofs then" and be over it, rather than throwing a tantrum.

Also, I don't believe the episode covered who initiated the breakup - whats-her-name or Fabio. This could be a factor - if SHE dumped HIM, that might say to Gill that she has impossibly high standards. But again, this only holds true if Gill also buys that Fabio's the ultimate man, which is ludicrous.
