richard madeley is an idiot
i found the content of the show this morning highly inapproriate. My radio comes on every morning with the alarm, and the kitchen radio is tuned to radio 2 also. My children get up and dressed, have their breakfast in the kitchen while i have a shower, make the beds etc. A normal morning for families with school children I would imagine. Today I came into the kitchen to see my children gripped with fear listening to tales of 'definite' sightings of ghosts and spirits. I am appalled. Surely it should be safe to leave a bbc radio station on between 7 and 8 in a morning, without fear of the content terrifying my kids?? I know that my little girl will have difficulty sleeping tonight and will probably be in tears. Richard madeley and his producers are insensitve and thoughtless. disgusting.

yes jack, i am fully aware of that thank you. She is 9 and just at the age where her stupid friends start the silly rumour of the school being built on a old burial site, visions of a lady in white, and all that balloney (sp?).
i can assure you that we are dealing with it. My point is that i can reassure her as much as possible, get her confidence back, and then hearing someting like these ridiculous stories puts her right back again.
He wil,l no doubt sleep well tonight. It's not fair that I won't.
I shouldn't have to worry about the content that early in a morning - that was my gripe. My daughter's *issues* have nothing whatsoever to do with it.

can understand how upset you may have been crisgal, however im willing to bet that if your daughter wasn't so susceptible to ghost stories you yourself wouldn't have an issue with RM's article either.
Tomorrow morning, he may very well talk about toe nails dropping off- and then id have nightmares that night- see where im coming from?
