How much, if any, radio do you listen to?
If you do listen, what are your fave stations?
@quizzywig. I thought Rob Brydon did a cracking job on the KB show.

Bednobs: Radio 4 Extra is devoted mainly to drama and comedy. There's a fairly regular pattern to the broadcasting. For example (on weekdays) the 7pm slot is always 'classic comedy', such as The Navy Lark, Hancock's Half Hour or The Men from the Ministry. That's followed at 7.30pm by (slightly) more recent comedy, such as The Burkiss Way. The 10pm to midnight...

Capital or Heart
I listen to the radio every night and every morning. I particularly like radio 4. The radio in the kitchen is usually on and that is set to radio one. I may try radio 4 extra next week.
We have BBC R2 on at work most days and I listen to either R2 or Planet Rock at home or in the car, so quite a bit. Is this leading somewhere?
classic fm when i'm on the laptop (about five hours a day)
Radio is on for most of the day - usually R4 or R4extra, with occasional diversions into R3 or 6Music.

BBC Radio is worth every penny of the licence fee on its own - I know you don't need a licence for radio alone, but I'd cheerfully pay the tenner a month even if I didn't have a TV.
2 hours a day if the cricket is not on - just Radio 4, though I also have that on in the car too.
occasionally Classical, Jazz and R3, if I am travelling, for the music.
Well I'd gladly pay the licence fee for Radio 4 alone:-)
Every day and most nights too Dicky, my favourite stations being Planet Rock, Radio 4, Radio 4 Extra and throughout the night 5Live.

I hardly bother with the T.V. but couldn't be without my DABs.
Well I'd gladly pay the licence fee to hear Simon Mayo's confessional spot alone.
i have R4 Extra on all night every night
Usually Radio 4. I sometimes listen to the news on Radio Ulster.
i listen to about 1.5 hrs every morning - 5 live
if i'm in the car i listen to radio 1 - probably adds up to another hour a day

I like 4extra for the older comedy plus it re-broadcasts shows from R4 a day or so later. R2, R3 and R6. I seem to rely more on the radio for entertainment these days because of the dire state of tv progs. Notable exceptions being The Big bang theory,(even that is not as funny as it was)
Lewis and Murder in Paradise.
Hardly any.
But Classic FM if I do.
I have the radio on almost continuously. (I watch very little television).

The alarm is set to switch on to Radio 2 (although I'll have probably been dipping in and out of BBC World Service throughout much of the night) and Radio 2 is my 'default' station in the car. If I'm actually up during the early hours I can listen to my favourite DJ (by a mile), the Dark Lord himself!

I also listen to quite a lot of the output of Radio 4 Extra and Radio 4 itself, as well as loads of stuff from ROK British Comedy:

Of course, when there's international cricket on, I'll be tuned to Radio 5 Live.

Somehow I still find time to squeeze in a bit of Radio 3 (mainly for the jazz and world music), with occasional excursions into BBC 6 Music and the BBC Asian Service.
>>>I like 4extra for the older comedy

Then you'll definitely like ROK British Comedy, Dicky ;-)
About four hours a day. Radio 4, radio 2, occasionally bbc humberside.

I'd gladly pay a tenner a month if they took off You and Yours and Jeremy bloody Vine
what sort of things are on radio4 extra?
I'm in the happy position of working from home, so the radio's on all the time. Ken Bruce from 09:30 to midday. Mad dash then to turn Jeremy Vine off and over to 4 Extra for a couple of hours. Thereafter Radio 4 for the rest of the day, 5-Live if there's anything interesting going on.

Everything done differently when TMS is on, of course.

And I couldn't agree more about the licence fee. I hardly watch any TV these days, but couldn't be without the Beeb. All that entertainment for the price of a couple of pints a week.
