Alex Lester And Janice Long On Radio 2

Have I missed something? I've started working nights again after a couple of years on days. I listen to Janice and Alex through the night, and it seems they refer to their shows as SHOES, the Janice Long Shoe (and she makes remarks on the shoes she is wearing), the Alex Lester Best Time Of The Day Shoe etc.....I'm confused!

I wouldn't worry about it.

Janice Long is not as bad as Joe Whiley for trying to sound all breathlessly enthusiastic like a student, when she is of an age where she could have kids who are students (as Jo Whiley does! How embarassing for her children!!) - but she is not far off.

Alex Lester is just strange - he holds the sort of one-sided conversations that if he spoke to you in the pub, you would excuse yourself, and leave - quickly!
