How come radio stations do not broadcast commentary on Man Utd matches ? If the matches are not televised live on television it is nigh on impossible to follow the match on radio as no station covers it, I did hear a rumour that United had banned it as they now have their own station but I don't know how true this is.
Radio 5 Live regularly have ManU as their main commentary game, not every game but quite often. For example, they have the 2nd half of the Fulham v ManU game this coming Saturday (only half because of the rugby)
Thanks bibblebub and sir.prize, I have caught it a couple of times on 5 live but out of say 45 minutes there was only about 10 mins of commentary due to horse racing and going around the other grounds. It just seems strange that with all the local North West stations we have, not one covers the United match but all the other local clubs commentary appears. I will certainly have a go at tuning in to wiziwig and give it a go. Thanks to you both again !
I've tried radio Manchester but they usually have City, Blackburn or Bolton but never United when playing at home which makes me wonder about the comment of United banning commentary because of their own radio station. Pure greed if that is true !
Biffa - I'll gladly explain. If Manure are playing on a Saturday, you can almost guarantee it will be the commentary game on radio 5. My comment was a response to your suggestion that they should always be on the radio. If they've banned radio Manchester, then that's just another example of their own delusional self-importance. Similar to banning many journalists, just because they dared to question old red nose!
Hi davetuc ! I wasn't suggesting that all Utd matches should be broadcast, just trying to find out why home matches are never on local stations. I take it you are not a Utd fan.
