The key bit to listen to is between 11:00 and 12:00, in particular ...
The point of the story, in fact, is how you turn a boy into a man. That's what it's all about. It's about a moment of crisis where we try and work out who Tom Archer is - is he a worthy enough farmer to take over that farm? Because we're dealing with the future of the show, the future of the farm, it's a big dynastic dram ... we have to know - both the audience and the scriptwriter and the editor - we have to know that Tom Archer is worthy to take on the mantle at Bridge Farm, and that's a big thing to do.

What about Linda Snell Ric.ror ? She is my favourite out of the lot of them.
She is simply wonderful ! Nobody can put more meaning into a sniff than our Linda.
I shall treasure the memory of her saying "chop-chop" to Brian Aldridge a few years ago, when he was helping out with the Panto. Its entirely possible that nobody had ever said that to him before, ever.....priceless !
I am getting the gist of this Tom/Kirsty non-wedding a bit more now, after the passage of a few days. Its still upsetting but I am beginning to see the sense in it now.
