Yes, it's to be a new actor. The BBC people were talking about it a few weeks ago. I have to say though, that I must be the only person in the UK never to have listened to The Archers or seen The Sound of music either or liked Fawlty Towers.
Sorry, I digress,. xx
janbee...I am reeling in shock ! Leaving aside the flipping Sound of Music, please give the Archers a try. Someone on here said yesterday that they never found Dad Army funny at all. I thought that was incredible, but Fawlty Towers ! ! ! I am fumbling for the smelling salts as I type.
We all have different tastes, I've never found Fools and Horses, 'Allo 'Allo nor Peter Kay particularly funny. Re PK, being from Notlob myself, I can't see what's wrong with half of what he says! I wonder how other people refer to the main central light hanging from the ceiling? we always said "the big light"!
janbee - I nearly went into premature labour when Basil started thrashing the car with a branch! OK I've seen 'Sound of Music' (it's hard to avoid) no comment.
Tony is still alive, Rob is moving in to make Helen even more dependent and Tom had not answered his phone this afternoon! Tense times.
We were discussing getting rid of the Archers and Tony the other week - do the writers look at AB?
The scriptwriters are getting awfully close to the wire with this business of selling up in Ambridge and moving oop north. Someone reassure me that there will be a last minute reprieve....please !
I'm not really sure why Otto had to go in the first place ? Is there some kind of H+S rule that says that as soon as a bull gets more than a little playful, it has to be slaughtered ? Its hardly his fault, after all.
Yes, I think sending Otto to the abbatoir was unnecessary (after you with the cattle prod, carrust) Tony's going to be very upset, probably be trying to find another one from his wheelchair.
Oh well...I won't mention the multiple pile-up on the Borchester by-pass, when Justin Elliot, Charley, Helen and Elizabeth were all killed then. Better wait until tomorrow.
