It's not real y'know ?:-) ?

I distinctly heard a cow go moo the other night, and how the hell would you get a great big Hereford into a recording studio ?

Not real ? ....PAH !
Think Jolene ---- think Dolly!
Re Brookfield, I always feel it's a bit harsh on David and Ruth that they work the farm and increase its value and the others will get a percentage of that increased value to which the have contributed nothing.
I reckon David should get the place valued (excluding Justin's offer) and buy out the family members.

OK it would need a big mortgage, but it would stop the family bickering.
Hoppy...the resulting mortgage would be right up there with Greek debt, in its troublesome nature. After all, how much profit is there in milk these days, when Asda, etc, are practically giving the stuff away ?

In fact, the whole business of Ambridge farming has been a great mystery to me for many years. Apart from Brian, who would sell his own offspring into the white slave trade if there was a profit in it, how is anybody making any money ?

This latest venture with the goslings is an example. I recall my Mum roasting a goose for Xmas dinner back in the sixties, and the fat was flowing out of the oven like lava from a volcano ! We also ate ruddy goose well into the New Year. I foresee problems with the Likely Lad Brothers !
Yes, there is going to be a goose mountain this Christmas.
Nancy Banks Smith, the veteran TV critic for The Guardian, writes a monthly Archers column........I thought that we might be interested in her latest missive :::::

Enjoy !
Brilliant! Thanks for that Mikey.
Hellywelly....If you search the Guardian website, you will see all the previous
episodes !
I have been on Holiday and missed a few of the omnibus episodes, is there any news on Scruff? Thanks
UKSWF, Scruff is still missing. Linda has made enquiries with some dog rescue centres to ask if her dog has been handed in. Her hopes were raised recently when she got what she thought was a positive reply from a centre, but the dog was not Scruff. She and Robert have mentioned placing some kind of memorial to Scruff in their garden, as they have begun to give up hope.
I must be the only person in the land, NEVER to have heard The Archers, not once.
Thanks Bookbinder, I still have hope in my heart! X
Mikey444 I love that blog in the Guardian newspaper, I must watch out for that, excellent!
Janbee....you have nothing to lose but your chains ! Come in and join us....you might like it !
UKSWF....If I can remember, I will post future installments from Nancy Banks Smith on here. Expect the next one about this time next month.

Few years back, OH was taking Dog for a walk one evening (I was away) popped into Local, as one does, and they were having an Archers Quiz.
She won, (Bottle of Wine) on her own.
I know better than to disturb her on a Sunday morning after all these years!
Thanks for the link mikey. Janbee, I echo the 'you have nothing to lose but your chains' comments. We have all, more or less, remained sane whilst immersed in the real world of Ambridge. :)

PS I remember postcards...
And milk in little bottles at school xx
Absolutely, hellywelly - in Winter the bottles froze and there were little pillars sticking out of the necks with the caps perched on top! :0) xx 'night
