Chris Evans Radio 2

Has anyone else switched Chris Evans off this morning beside me, he is so full of himself and advertising for Top Gear. It turned into a shouting match with all the presenters interrupting and his guests. Radio 2- just get rid of him please..and one more thing why does he chop most of the records off before the end, rant over.. thanks

It did get a bit chaotic.

Matt Le Blanc is coming over as bewildered and devoid of a personality - I am sure he is neither.

I don't watch Top Gear, so the hype is meaningless, but it did not make for good radio.

I haven't listened to his show for a while. I do quite like him on Radio 2, but found his show very irritating when he was on Virgin. All those sycophants in the studio laughing hysterically at everything he said.
I have to switch off Vanessa Feltz.

Matt LeBlanc comes across as a bit slow, not a good omen for Top Gear!

He writes a Motoring article in Event Magazine (MoS) every week, at least half of it is about how great he is, how nice his house is and the 'posh' places he goes to, then the car he is testing pops up in the second half like an afterthought.

Gave up on Evans in the morning several months ago. He talks over the beginning of every record (as do all other DJs - they have a countdown on their computer to when the singing begins), then starts yabbering way before the song ends. Too noisy first thing in the morning and, if he is to remain on Radio2, he's be better being put back to where he used to be at 5pm, when his 'manic' style of presenting would be less annoying

All the BBC self advertising is getting beyond a joke, Jeremy Vine is at it now,"tune in to BBC2 for Eggheads, best quizz on TV", he just happens to present it.

I've never been a great fan of Chris Evans. Thankfully, as I tend to go to bed anywhere between 2am and 6am, and then not get up until around midday, I rarely have to listen to him. (However that does mean that I have to put up with Jeremy Vine - I really hate phone-ins! - and then the supercilious Steve Wright).

What particular annoys me is that, by having to pay mega-bucks to such 'star' presenters (and those who co-present with them for so-called 'zoo radio), means that the BBC has had to remove live broadcasting during the early hours of the morning. (We're now stuck with repeats from 0300 to 0500 each weekday). That totally ignores the fact that many people on their own, those with insomnia or those simply working through the night like to hear someone on air whom they know that they can interact with (via texts or email) if they so choose.

He's a controlling, manipulative nonentity who managed to make his mark and millions in that talent and style vacuum that was the 1990s.
For some reason the faceless knobs who run the state funded spending orgy that is the BBC are held in thrall by him.

I suppose somebody must like him though, Douglas. After all, when he took over from Terry Wogan (whom many, including me, loved as a presenter) there was a sharp rise in the audience figures for the breakfast show.

As the saying goes, "There's nowt so queer as folk!"

It's not fake. It's just the way she is and, indeed, is what many people love most about her presentation style!

I'm selective about the musical theatre which appeals to me. I suggest not giving up on it until you've seen Return to the Forbidden Planet or The Rocky Horror Show performed live!
