Does Pip want her money back because she wants to dump him, and knows she won't see a penny once she has?

I think she wants to give it to her parents to help a bit towards their expenses. I wonder if she's getting a bit fed up with him, particularly as he gave her such bad advice which has landed her in deep trouble.

There's no future for the two of them, but I don't think she ever thought there was.

Presumably if she gives him his marching orders, he becomes homeless.

She has to get her money back, Hoppy. Daft lass -----------but we've all been daft I think. The Bull will suffer if the gin business fails - relatives again. Pip has a lot to answer for. I suspect that (having fought so hard for Toby) she is very reluctant to backtrack and show herself to have been so much in the wrong. She is not loving and deluded anymore, that's for sure. Not easy for her with grandma etc. having been persuaded.

If I've got this right - Toby has already spent £5,000 on his business, courtesy of Pip, and has borrowed some more from Kenton. It must be a large amount as Pip thought he could pay her back from Kenton's money, so how much has Kenton given him, given that Kenton borrowed a load from David a little while ago. Have I remembered this correctly? Mikey - your help is needed please.
