Oh for goodness sake, Woofgang....you know well enough that Helly knows how to ask a question without you asking if she has one.... and if you look at media it will tell you we are able to chat as well as ask questions.....so no need for the sniffy...is there a question... comment....though it does give me the cat's bottom image which brings a smile.... Thanks,...

Is there a question?
Good book, if I remember I'll have a listen.

As to the rest of your post I'm not sure what you getting at.
it was previously broadcast on radio this time of year in 1982 and 2003. It was also filmed as Village of the Damned - "Beware the eyes that paralyse!"
A little about the Company here.

Some of us on A/B like John Wyndham and have put posts on here in the past to let others know when something by him is being broadcast. That's all my post is about. Why has it attracted questions?
Thanks for the info, Hellywell.
John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Beynon Harris. Now there's a mouthful of a name.
If I remember my classics correctly the Graeae were, in Greek mythology, three old women who had but one tooth and one eye to share between them.
it was the bit about it's being adapted for Graeae that made me wonder if you had a question.
Maybe why a radio programme reading needed adaption. But maybe it's simply a recording of a real theatre performance ?
Helly....thanks for this ! I am a huge fan of Whyndam !

If you could let us know again, on Sunday morning, then you will a friend for life !

Hello Mikey. I hoped you would see it, knowing you like JW as much as me. Put a note on your calendar or set your Freeview or whatever you use. I've written it very large in the radio times for Friday so I will record it early. I will try to remember to remind you, though!!!
thx helly
I suppose the associated question is

Midwich cuckoos is on next sunday - does anyone want to listen to it?
// Maybe why a radio programme reading needed adaption.//

think war and peace - that would need adaptation wouldnt it ?
