Am a great fan of the archers but this story line has got out of hand, Ruth will get caught out by David and then he will go off to Sophie seems the logical answer to this. or Ruth will go to her Mother, as she hasn't been down and comes when children are on hoilday.

(Don't think she's been back there since her old man passed on and her Mam left Prudhoe for a long-term stay in Ambridge.....)

I've got a funny feeling in my bones that something horrid is going to happen to the wicked Sam. He's someone i've never warmed to. Look what he did to Alisdair..sent him into the claws of Matt Crawford..mind you, I would if I was married to Shula !

Is it just me, or has anyone else got the impression that Sam is a snivelling, sly, wheedling wretch ... oh Ruth, you got to tell 'im, Oh Ruth, it don't matter what anyone else thinks, Oh Ruth etc etc. I cringed with embarrassment when I heard the episode just after they'd got together. Sam's pathetic pleading and the pressure he was putting on Ruth to leave David and mess up her family life ~ well It just sounded like a teenager trying to get his leg over for the first time with a new girlfriend.
Proves that the show is really well written ~ I disliiked him so much I had to remind myself it's only a story!
