.....I have waited too long for this wonderful series to come back on and here it is to brighten up these dark, dismal, dreary nights. I get a warm tingle just hearing the opening music and then when Humphrey goes into his monologue about whichever place they are recording from I know that for the next 30 minutes I am going to be in paradise. I only wish this programme was on every night of the year. They say you can have too much of a good thing. Well, all I can say is that when the ''thing'' is this good, that proverb is redundant.
Absolutely, Osprey. So many panellists have changed, or passed on, notably Willie Rushton, but still it maintains the standard. I do hope it will - but can it ever be the same when Humph goes? Who could replace him? Discuss...
Cannot imagine anyone else filling the role of chairman in this fantastic show. Barry Cryer did in fact chair 6 episodes in the very first series back in 1972, but Humph has been an ever present since.
Favourite rounds anyone, apart from Mornington Crescent ? I'll go with Pick Up Song.
