Mash for Cash - A message from the Managing Director
The good news:
The Mash for Cash winner is Rajini Bhagotra from North London. She answered the three artists correctly.
The correct artists and songs clips were Christina Aguilera - Aint no other man, Gwen Stefani � Luxurious and Nelly - Hot In Here
The not so good news:
Late in the promotion it came to light that our competition producer had written down Pharrell Williams as the third artist and not Nelly. As you may know Pharrell is the writer on the song. After investigation I discovered that the producer has made a genuine error by writing down the wrong name, and has now been severely *********.
The text company who manages our competition is not at fault and was given this misinformation. This meant that unfortunately Kiss had inadvertently been sending text bounce backs saying �you are correct� to listeners who were technically wrong, and �you are wrong� to those listeners who were right.
We were aware of the mistake late Thursday and have been working out the fairest solution to the problem since.
Firstly may I apologise for the mistake as it was certainly never our intention to mislead you. I am also aware it may well have cost you money, so I would like to tell you how I intend to make up for this mistake.
- We made sure that all entrants who got the three artists correct were put into the draw on Friday, even if they received the wrong bounceback. We also accepted those entries who got the first two artists correct and who put Pharrell instead of Nelly. I believed this was the fairest way given the close association of Pharrel on the song.
- For those listeners who texted us with Christina Aguilera, and Gwen Stefani, plus EITHER Nelly or Pharrell, we have set up a system where we
