I have just seen this comment on the net - this could be true as that would be most unpleasant to suffer from in the jungle and they would not want to embarrass Brian by announcing the reason.

I read on Digital Spy earlier he apparantly collapsed. Had lost a lot of weight and wasn't very well at all.
