I know that the auditions start today but I couldn't tell you where or what time. Is there nothing on Google?

they start today? Must be in certain towns as someone I knows Grandads already through first 2 stages

They have initial stages, where people audition but not in front of the judges. This whittles everyone down to the good (and the bad) I know a couple of people who auditioned but did not get to the next round.
Now its the auditions in front of the judges and these will be filmed for TV.

I saw Ben Sheppard talking to Louis Walsh on GMTV this morning and he said they started auditions today. That's where I got it from
