I really worry about the people who want Rex to win because he is 'entertaining'. Being obnoxious, bullying and passing continual snide remarks to fellow house mates is not entertainment. If Rex wins what sort of message does that send out to young, impressionable people ? Is this the sort of role model we want them to copy ? Surely bad behaviour should not be seen to be rewarded ?
I suspect that the other housemates have never encountered someone from Rex's background before and, with the exception of Mikey, are in awe of him. It seems to me, in this class-ridden society, those with money think they have a god-given right to rule, and those without accept their position and do as they are told. Rex might have money but he has absolutely no class. You don't need money to have class, you need manners and respect for others.Although she might be boring, Rachel has both these qualities. She has always remained gracious, even when under pressure from Rex's sniping. I find it impossible to believe that anyone could keep up an act with the constant baiting from Rex. She has never sworn at anyone ,said anything behind anyone's back and has had the patience of a saint with Mikey. Rachel had done her best in all the tasks and was, I think, a much better dancer than Nicole.
I suspect Rachel would be far more animated in familiar surroundings with people she knows. She was out of her depth surrounded by 'larger than life' people.I think you have to establish yourself in the first week of BB, and Rachel couldn't.
I love Mikey for standing up to Rex. I think he probably said what the rest of the housemates were thinking but did not have the guts to say.
Can't decide between Rachel or Mikey.
