Over what period is The Apprentice vide'oed? Do they shoot each programme in the couple of days before transmission (and if so what do they do in between tasks)? Or did all the events that make up the series happen over a period of a couple of weeks a month or two back and we are just seeing it now?
Only tuned in half way through this episode and the blonde woman heading the winning team looks like the best bet for series winner.
i think it was done some time ago
when it was on last year, a month or so before the final was shown the winner came to my work to sell stuff of behalf of AS's company, so we knew she'd won
think it is done a couple of months ago (i) given the editing - note the coloured eyes (ii) the leaves were on the trees in Hamburg (iii) the way candidates appear when they go on the Breakfast couch.... they all have to sign a confidentiality agreement.
What I'm not clear about is how long it is between the tasks, and what they do in the house in between the tasks. They can't be working at this level, day in day out, surely?
Sorry for not engaging brain before posting question because it's obviously been done a while ago since they have a preview of the following week on each programme.
At least the other part of the question is still relevant, about the eventual winner, there are still at least 4 dreadful contestants still involved, nailed-on certainties to be fired before the end of series.
apparently each task/episode takes 3 or 4 days to film, one of those days being the boardroom, so if you add up all the episodes, that's how many days it takes. they don't go home in between, it's all on-going.
HI Boxtops - did the wire outline tonight (it's a man thing and the man was home for a change) but the bloody wire is too floppy!!! Not buying wings as I have 3 metres of spangly net and 6 strings of tinsel - aaarrgghhh! (But thanks for asking.)
This series was originally supposed to have been shown in the Spring but was delayed because of Sugar's involvement in the election. Most of it would have been filmed last year - late Summer/Autumn onwards.
i seem to remember seeing an interview with a past contestant, where they said that the challenges are filmed day after day, without a break and that it is quite tiring.
as barney1966 says, i also heard that this years show was held back due to the election.
Time goes by so quickly but wasn't it early in this series that a guy pulled out and went home because his brother, a soldier, was badly injured. I think it was subsequently in the newspaper that this had happened last December so it's filmed well in advance of screening
Everything you see in the current series of 'The Apprentice' took place over a year ago.
Filming was carried out in the autumn of 2009, with transmission being planned for March of this year. However the BBC took the view that Sir Alan Sugar's position of 'business tsar 'to the Labour government meant that the series should not be broadcast until after the the General Election. Prior programming commitments meant that no slot could be found for the series until October of this year. Both of the finalists from the series are currently employed within Sir Alan Sugar's companies in order to ensure that the winner is not known until the final programme is transmitted.

So are you saying Buenchico, that when the winner is announced, one of them will get fired from his company, seems a bit harsh to me?
