June Brown better known as 'Dot Branning' has signed a new contract which will keep her in the soap (EE) for another year.
The 84 year old will reportedly earn £300.000, a salary bettered only by that of
Steve McFadden who plays Phil Mitchell
Her contract had been due to expire at the end of March.

Someone was asking a little while ago "How much do soap stars earn" This gives you some idea, eh?

Thanks...
I love Dot and her biblical quotes :o)
why less than phil?
£300k?, not bad seeing as she`s hardly ever in it lately
phil earns one of the top wages I think, he has to put a lot of work into that red face, then there's the huffing and puffing
ooh I say!

It beats me why she doesn't sit back & put her feet up. I mean at 84 years old she's not going to spend that much in her life-time.

PS - Just thought now the fags have gone up to over £7.00 a pkt. maybe she could.

I`d love to see Dot Cotton approach Phil Mitchell in the Vic and give him some...

Aww I say...Ezekiel 25:17: The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the Valley of Darkness; for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the finder of lost children. And, I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers! And, you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee
no, it's "once upon a time... " ;o)
lol sara, and ends with "they all lived happily ever after. The End"
Elvis...sent you a message on MSN :-)
I don't watch E/E but aware of Dot, why should she retire, if she did she might get bored at home and and die.
Dot (June) did retire to spend more time with her husband. Then a couple of months later he died so she came back. Her way of coping I think.
