I don't think Michelle Collins should take flak for the drop in figures of Coronation Street, people are putting the blame on her for her accent for the shows viewing figures, Collinson backed the actress and said the show was fine and no staff member complained about it, I don't believe she should take the backlash even though it is like putting someone like Bet Gilroy at the pumps of the Vic in EE

lol yeh i agree, its a shame, i have always been a soap watcher, and reality tv come to that, i have missed a lot of both corrie and eastenders in recent months, the storylines just not being up to standard, its not fair to blame michelle collins, i agree, they need some decent storylines, the cast are only as good as the script.

Its his fault, too many barmy storylines, and though no idea if its true, he and Michelle collins are good mates.

It` easier to blame Michelle Collins than admit that the writers are to blame. I don`t follow Coronation Street but I used to watch it years ago. The whole point of soap operas is that they`re supposed to be real life. If I catch snatches of Coronation Street now it appears to me they have tried to turn it into some kind of camp comedy. It`s far removed from real life and could end of going to way of Brookside.
