I have looked for a number of programmes over the years, one i was interested in, but it doesn't seem to have been released on DVD.
Have you tried here?

There are many rare dvd sites on the net.
What kind of thing are you after em10?
google will be a beginning to find what tv programmes you want
No. Bought DVD's in the past for some and they've stayed in the box.
Question Author
several tv series, ones i loved watching, i don't think they were released
on DVD, one called i'll fly away, a very good US drama, and the same for
The Wonder Years, which was one of my all time favourite programmes.
Yes...back in the early 80s they made a series called the Little world of Don Camillo it was a brilliant little half hour that lived up to the original stories
Never found it on DVD yet I still think it was one of the best things I've ever watched
I'm sure i've seen DVD's of I'll Fly Away - with Sam Waterston is that the one?
I remember reading those stories about 40 years ago. If I remember correctly they were about the conflicts between the catholic priest and the communist mayor. The priest always seemed to come out on top.
Is this the one rowan?

the Little world of Don Camillo

Chelle that's the one, i have looked on amazon and endless places, can't get it, it was a brilliant series, in the same vein as Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, and with Sam Waterston. The Wonder Years is my favourite, about growing up in small town America, the high and lows of childhood.
em10 - is this what you are looking for?

My first link is I'll Fly Away

My second link is The Wonder Years
Question Author
Sir.prize that is the series, was hoping to buy it.
Question Author
thanks for the help - i had googled the various shows, and there are others which i would like, but some don't get released on DVD.
Yes I realise you hoped to buy the dvd. However

''Unlike most long-running popular American TV sitcoms, The Wonder Years has still not yet been released on DVD as official season box sets, allegedly due to music licensing issues.''

So the next best is to view it online via the links given.
