Loved that clip Bobbi - I'd forgotten how funny it was. If only corrie were still like that. I thought the pottery class with Ken & Dreary was going to be a funny story line but that sort of fizzled into nothing.
I gave up on corrie a while ago - don't miss it at all now.
Lottie, In my defence, I was on the bed when I heard Mr N arrive, so I hurriedly type an encoded post, mistakes indeed, how very dare you!!!!
I loved Bet Lynch especiallyt when she was living with Mike Baldwin, and Liz annoyed me but she was where she should be, behind the bar, her clothes and hair were ridiculous. I even liked Valerie Barlow, oh bring 'em all back!
i loved the cleaner - forgotten her name now. she was a dark haired actress who was in clocking off. She had some brilliant lines, a bit like a female norris.
The producers killed her off though. They must have all been on something 'cus at her funeral, the same actress played her sister - who turned out very powsh.
it was all a bit odd really, but i loved her character. does anyone else remember her?
Crisgal, Ida Clough, a machinist, is coming to mind. As I remember her, she was a bit of a battle-axe. Could that be her? Didn't watch Clocking Off so I don't know who was in that.
Thank goodness for that! What a stupid story line for Corrie and he makes me cringe. He used to be in Butterflies as the eldest son, the younger one being Rodney from Only Fools and Horses. Even back then his acting was grim!
The thing that irritates me about him is his speech impediment which makes him slur his words. Very annoying, and you'd think a distinct disadvantage in an actor. He's a pretty weak character though, and I don't think he'd be missed.
It always seems to me that he is trying to make sure his false teeth don't come out because he clenches his jaw so much. Can't imagine him doing Shakespeare, don't know why!
