They are so strict those Australians, I love watching this programme, I'm sure our Customs are just as vigilant but it's a fascinating insight to what lengths people go to , to smuggle illegal stuff into a country, Uk Border Force deals more with illegal immigrants whereas NTD deals with food even!

i am sure we do but I find this particular programme more interesting
i agree - i like the prog. Didn't it used to be on freeview channel 20 before they took it off for sky atlantic?
My daughter tried to bring in from Ireland some black pudding, white pudding and sausages. They were all taken off her.
Question Author
not sure bednobs,
I think you can get it on a good few Sky channels (repeats) but I am not familiar with Free View
i agree. They`re much more strict in Oz than they are in the UK. They`ll even take a sachet of drinking chocolate powder off you because of the powdered milk in it. They can fine heavily if they catch you too.
and i'm not familiar with sky :)
channel 20 on freeview used to be about the best one before they took it off, I haven't seen NTD since (mind you, i reckon i'd seen all of them twice anyway)

OH's Mum managed to bring us stuff last time she went. Maybe Claire just looked a bit guilty, so they questioned her.

She had no issues with them. They just took it off her and happily sent her on her way.
Question Author
yes, but that was here ummmm, I am not sure the Bulgarian Customs will be as 'nice' as they were to Claire :-(
I will take it and run the risk of having it taken from me I suppose
I had all sorts of bother going to us this year, then everyone told me it was because I was wearing red.
Question Author
lol@red (pardon the pun)
never heard of this before
When Australia brought in some anti-Porn customs rules, people suggested that when asked if you had any illegal pornographic material you should try one of the following tactics:

1) Prepare a book of (say) pictures of feet, produce it and ask the officer to evaluate. Stand next to him and start breathing heavily and groaning.

2) Declare in a loud voice, "I didn't know you STILL had to be a criminal to get in here!"
