I can't understand a word of the opening song to CDWM and it's driving me mad! All I can hear - I think - is something about cinnamon! Does anyone know where I can find the lyrics? I've looked on Ch. 4 website but no luck.
Thanks for any help.

Here you are. It's called French Navy & it's by Camera Obscura:

didnt even know it had a song to it!!
Being pedantic, the song is actually on the advert for the sponsors (Echo Falls) of Come Dine With Me so it's not actually the shows theme tune.

Thanks for that. I've looked at the lyrics and I still can't reconcile it with the actual opening of CDWM! I must be going deaf or something, but the words don't sound anything like that to me! Still, at least I can stop fretting about it now.
thanks evain i was beginning to think i was losing it
Camera Obscura, French Navy. It's a classic case of "word salad", isn't it: you can just make out the "we met by trick of fate" line, but everything else could be in Serbo-Croat for all the sense you could make of it. ("Fresh laid, my cinnamon mate" was as near as I could get to the next line!)
We thought the same, the lyrics are here: http://www.lyricsmode...cura/french_navy.html
