I've just got the Customs UK prog on PICK<tv> and wondered what happens to all the tobacco products that are taken off travellers. Are they destroyed?

It would be burnt. I'd bet the customs people don't need to buy many cigarettes.
Wish they would drop it off here ..

I once sent my daughter 2 boxes of Cadbury's Dairy Milk drink sachets when she was working for P&O in the Caribbean. She didn't receive them being told they had stopped them a Customs. I bet someone over there had lots of lovely night time drinks.

Did you why they stopped them chrissa1.
Question Author
ooops did you know why......
I guess for importing "prohibited food", but having watched Nothing To Declare from Australia, I think even they would have let a well known worldwide packeted brand in.
All Cadbury's should be banned now.
OMG. Nooooo. I love it.
Galaxy ok tho ... I do 400g a week!
If it is anything like the drug hauls here in Ibiza, the cops (allegedly!have to say that but we know) sell them on!
Yes, I bet you would, Albags. Does the incinerator in question go by the name of your lungs, by any chance? Can we all come round to your house for a tobacco "burning" party? I can bring some booze if you like?
