I've not heard him Halifax, the last time I saw the Phantom in Manchester some years ago, it was a chap called Dave Willetts and he was excellent.

notasyoungaswas.... i have seen Dave Willets too and he was brilliant ( fell out of the cherub apparently once, bless him). The phantoms tonight were John Owen-jones (just left london cast to do the tour next year) Ramin Karimloo ( ex london phantom in phantom and love never dies,played phantom on 25th concert, now playing jean val-jean in les mis) Earl Carpenter ( current london phantom) and Simon Bowman ( ex london phantom). I was really surprise how good Nicole was, would love to see her in the west end :-)

notasyoung - i love to watch it live, as i have done many times, but gerry butler is amazing as the phantom in the joel schumacher dvd version - 2004 i think, it's very good, you should get it :)

The movie is excellent! One of my favourites :) I have never had the opportunity to see it live but I would love to. I think it may be touring next year...
