theme tune tv programme title

Can anyone help There used to be a show in black and white years ago 1950/1960 saturday morning on tv, i think it was french but not sure. all I remember was that in the opening title a little boy pulled a little wooden truck on a piece of string into a gas station fourcourt and when the bell ran the man came out and pretended to fill the truck up.

Can anyone help with the name of show and theme tune

Possibly 'Belle et Sebastian', although that didn't start until 1965. It's mainly remembered for its haunting theme tune, "L'Oiseau" (The Bird)


Alternatively possibly 'Hermine et Jacqui', which was broadcast at the start of the 1960s. I can't find a clip (or the theme) but here's a still:
