Just seen for the first time, who's that new guy on Countdown?
Has anyone told him he's on TV?

It's Nick Hewer who was a public relations consultant for Alan Sugar, and still works for him - they are close firends.

Nick has made his name oh the TV show The Apprentice - he is known for being quite ascerbic.

Not seen him on Countdown, never liked the show, so can't comment on his performance, although he was seen as a 'left-field' choice of presenter.

he seems too wooden to me. needs to be more jovial for countdown what with all the old biddies palpatating over the conundrum and the ol fellas panting and swooning over rachel.

I really cannot stand him on Countdown, think I've given enough time for him to settle in but he is still so condescending...teacher like and as Ankou says...wooden! The presenters before him have all had some humour and wit but imo he has none....he really has spoilt the game for me and I'm not usually averse to people on screen but he just doesn't have the personality for this programme afaic.

Watched it today, he appears to have had a 'charisma bypass' just sucks the fun eliment out of the show, even RR is not her normal self!

well they had a winning combination with carol vordeman and richard whitely, she clever clogs, he daft waffler, but it worked.
