Children's Film Foundation films

These were popular with us kids back inthe 50s - 80s on Saturday morning flicks. I know therels site dedicated to them on TV Cream, but i can't be bothered to research it.

We're talking about a boy whose Dad goes away to work or something,and when he comes back they go on this fairground ride and the boy dies in his Dad's arms. Film name, please?

Also a film with a boy with a flying bicycle, no I wasn't on drugs!

was it the Last Snows of Spring i remember that when i was about 7 or 8 in the pictures it was late 70's? defo boy died and a fairground ride

The CFT became the Children's Film & Television Foundation until last year, when it became the Children's Media Foundation. All of its films are listed here:
