Morning all...lovely here too, well it was, the sun's just hidden behind a cloud. Shopping done, pet peeve, assistants coughing into their hands and handing out change/receipts etc, tut. I gave her the correct amount and said I didn't want the receipt.

I had a very big, non-mangy fox in the garden the other afternoon. They bothered me more when I had Charlie but now I just accept they're there...well, except when they scream outside my bedroom. I have been known to open the window and tell them to buffer off :)
Well done with the diy bird table Jude. Unless you put wire fence up and bury at least 18" under the ground fox's will dig underneath. That pesky squirrel thought he'd get in early today to fathom out my new feeder...but I was up early too. Gotcha! :)

Everyone seems very busy at the moment on here....well, apart that is, from the dawn patrol.
went to a Liotard exhibition... came home... continued clearing the decks for dry rotters tomorrow... exciting stuff.
its been a nice day here too, sunny and cool. Car is not back, it needs new shock absorbers, 500 quids worth!!!!!!!. Happily its covered under the warranty and will be back all fixed and mot'd tomorrow. I have cooked my crab apples and they are dripping in a jelly bag ready to be boiled into jelly tomorrow. Domestic goddess me.
I may be observing radio silence for a few days while the dry rotters fill the room with chemicals. Most of what's left in it is under dust covers and the computer's next.
That's ok Jno ,we can always send you a text message if anything important happens ;-)
Night all.
jno, don't inhale!
right, been out to Tescos to stock up on stuff and my virtue was rewarded by finding Baileys down to £12 a litre from about £20... they don't usually do this until December, so Christmas has come early for me.
morning all, am up, showered and awake, waiting for return of car.

Morning all, I'm showered and so is the garden, it's been piddling down all night and woke me up. I've been as far as the bird feeders and that's it today. Today I'll mostly be on light duties.
Morning all
Mizz morning here ,raining.
Well the 500 quid I saved yesterday has been spent today on a new water softener. I know its sounds like ridiculous expense but hard water trashes my skin to the claw myself to bits stage.

You won't be hoping to get the bath cubes I've been saving for this year's bran tub then woofy?
Can't get down into a bath any more Robi......well I can but I'd have to stay there!!
Stained the table yesterday and it went in the shed after drying out a bit outside and am I glad I put it there as it rained all night. I know it was all night cos I had one of my sleepless ones. I'm really tired now after a busy day today. I had school and shopping, washing, and general stuff.
Walking tomorrow so it's goodnight from me - see ya later.
I have a job getting in and out of the bath but I do trý as I love the hot water for my bones and we only have a shower thing on the side of the bath. It's a swish bath but not very practical for old arthritic women ...lol.I have got a seat though which the pain clinic gave me if I don't feel like submerging.
What a deary old day it's been.
I soldiered on though and went down the High St for a few bits .Needed some birthday cards and a birthday present for a friend.
Jude can you come round and redecorate for me,my wood floors could do with a bit of a touch up :)
Night all, sleep tight and top of the morning to.....

Morning all. We've had horrendous storms for the last 3 days, flooding everywhere, sister is shocked at the amount of rain. and it's rather chilly too. And to cap it all, the water heater burst last night so we had to remove everything from the cupboard and put a bucket under it. Then I had to fill up buckets to flush the loo with and bottles for face washing etc. Going right back to the 70's now having to boil a kettle to wash with!! Mr N was up at 6am mending it, so I've stayed out of the way!!
Well pleased, have just taken an online theoretical driving test by the Spanish Guardia Civil and I passed, which is amazing, I hardly understood half of the questions !

Mr N has just come in with a new electric water heater, aw bless.

Morning all...it's bright but cold and very breezy.
Oh dear neti, that's all very stressful. Hope you get it fixed and have some calmer weather pdq.
Yesterday was thoroughly miserable and I didn't achieve much. I've got a feeling that if I go out today it'll be a padded coat job and I hate being all bundled up :(. Must remember not to buy kitchen rolls, I seem to have a subconscious addiction to them, every cupboard seems to have some stashed in there. I blame that Juan Sheet guy.

I haven't had a bath for years :) I'd love one of those spa baths but that's not going to happen, maybe eating a lot of beans produces a similar effect for a fraction of the cost.

I think I'd better fetch Juan Sheet now to wipe off the Actimel I spluttered all over my screen :)

Morning all
Another damp ,mizz drizz, hair frizz day.
Hope the rains soon stop for you Neti and you get your water on pdq.
Nothing doing here.
hello all. Grey and damp here. odd jobs day today and a haircut. Neti, I hope you get sorted today. Its amazing how we get used to stuff like water heaters. I can remember when my grandmother got rehoused from a condemned place to a new council flat with an actual bathroom and a back boiler off the kitchen fire. We used to go round there once a week to bath, it was amazing.
